About Me
Art has always been a big party of my life. Since I was a child I loved to draw and do anything crafty. With my passion for art in the world of technology, I went to Northeast Iowa Community College for Graphic Design. Doing design work, was fun, but I couldn't find myself wanting to sit still at a computer all day. Creating fine art still had my heart, so I took the leap in opening my first art gallery Captured on Canvas in 2016 where I would offer custom painting! Captured on Canvas is now known for its Paint Parties & DIY activities. Later, in 2022 I opened Maker's Market, a consignment store for local maker's, artisans, and crafters. Maker's Market has become the store where I sell my artwork.

Growing up I have always favored pencil or charcoal drawing. I enjoyed the simplicity of black and white artwork, color was very intimidating. During the time I was in college (2013), I experimented with acrylic painting more because I loved the idea of it! After doing more painting and getting commissions, acrylic had become my new medium. Since then I have grown my skills through painting large architectural pieces, capturing Dubuque landmarks and animals! I began my plein air journey in 2023 and continue to create studio and plein-air artwork.
